3 Eye Blind Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2024 by a group of misfits who wanted to save some dogs from being euthanized. Their crime? Being in the shelter too long.
In 2022, our founder rescued three one-eyed kittens from a California shelter. The boys are from a litter of nine who all caught an upper respiratory infection shortly after being born. For these three babes, the infection spread to an eye requiring enucleation. So they all became one-eyed. As you could imagine, our founder couldn’t stand the thought of separating them. So she quickly became the happy mom of three!
Liz is the heart, soul, and driving force behind Three Eye Blind Animal Rescue. A Navy veteran with a fierce passion for justice and a deep love for animals, she founded the rescue to fight for the voiceless—and she hasn’t looked back since. Whether she’s navigating a last-minute shelter pull or coordinating an entire transport network, Liz handles it all with grit, grace, and a side of sarcasm.
At home, Liz lives with her partner and their two rescue dogs—Boon, from Helena Humane Society, and Indy, adopted from Family Dog Rescue in Northern California. She’s also lovingly bossed around by her three one-eyed cats – the namesake of Three Eye Blind – Maverick, Iceman, and Goose (she’s a big Top Gun fan). And when she’s not running the rescue or snuggling her crew, she’s training her deaf 9-month-old pup Abby, rescued as a tiny stray from the streets of Grass Valley.
Liz is kind, supportive, and wildly capable—a badass leader with a heart of gold. Just don’t try to call during a Cleveland Indians game… baseball is serious business in her world.
Tarron is a passionate animal advocate who has always felt called to make a difference. As Vice President of Three Eye Blind Animal Rescue, she brings her heart, humor, and hands-on experience to every rescue effort. She also works with adults with special needs, helping them live independently and with dignity.
At home, Tarron cares for a small rescue farm that includes two beloved dogs—Hank, a former bait dog abandoned in a backyard, and Shelby, an overbred senior rescued from neglect in Texas. Their crew also includes ducks, goats, and a rotating cast of foster animals, from bunnies to bottle-fed kittens and beyond.
Tarron is known for her silly, quirky spirit, her love of nature and travel, and her unwavering dedication to animals in need—especially the ones that need a little extra love to shine.
Allie is the creative force, IT support, and resident realist at Three Eye Blind Animal Rescue, where she leads marketing with a blend of tech savvy and design chops. From building the website to designing all the merch, she keeps the rescue looking sharp and running smoothly—while also keeping the big hearts on the board somewhat rooted in reality (someone has to).
With a background in tech and a love for hands-on projects, Allie is always making something. 3D printing, graphic design, DIY projects—you name it, she’s probably mastered it… and made a spreadsheet for it too.
At home, Allie’s pack includes Bravo, her fluffy Great Pyrenees from Rotts of Friends, and two SPCA cats, Cal and Nessie. She also fosters puppies for the rescue, making her house a rotating puppy paradise. Whether she’s launching a new merch line, adding content to the website, or chasing a zooming foster pup, Allie brings energy, creativity, and a lot of love to everything she does.
